What this policy covers
This policy applies to the Marble Roulette website and browser game at marbleroulette.com. It describes the game as it is currently operated and may be updated when the service changes.
Names and game settings
When you enter names, the game uses them to create the marble race in your browser. For convenience, the latest list is saved in your browser's local storage under the site's data. The app does not send the name list to a Marble Roulette account or store it in a Marble Roulette database.
Names remain on that browser until you replace the list, clear the site's storage, use a private browsing session, or your browser removes the data. Do not enter sensitive personal information or anything you are not permitted to share.
Analytics
In production, Marble Roulette may load Google Analytics 4 to understand general usage and improve performance and features. Google may process technical and usage information, such as page views, device or browser details, and approximate location, according to its own policies and settings.
Analytics is configured through the site's deployment environment. If it is disabled for a deployment, the analytics script is not loaded. You can also use browser privacy controls, content blockers, or opt-out tools provided by Google.
Hosting and security
The site is deployed on Cloudflare Pages and may use Cloudflare's network, security, and caching services. Requests can include normal technical information such as an IP address, user agent, and request time for delivery, abuse prevention, and security. Cloudflare handles that information under its Privacy Policy.
Recordings and downloads
The recording feature uses your browser's MediaRecorder API. The resulting video is prepared in the browser and downloaded to your device. Marble Roulette does not upload the recording to its own server.
Retention and your choices
- Clear Marble Roulette's site data in your browser to remove the saved name list.
- Use private browsing or a content blocker if you do not want local persistence or analytics cookies.
- Delete downloaded recordings from your device when you no longer need them.
- For a privacy question or concern, email [email protected]. Do not include private names or sensitive data in your message.
Children and third-party links
Marble Roulette is a general-purpose tool, not an account service aimed at children. Teachers and organizers should use it in line with their own school's, employer's, or event's privacy rules. Links to Google and Cloudflare lead to services with their own terms and privacy practices.
Policy changes
If the data practices change, this page will be updated with a new date. Continued use of the site after an update means the revised policy applies to future use.
